GRAMMAR PRACTICE (I)

Nouns:

A nouns is a word that names a person, a place, a thing, or an idea.

A concrete noun names an object that occupies space or that can be recognized by the sense.

An abstract noun names an idea, a quality, or a characteristic.

A singular noun names one person, place, thing, or idea; a plural noun names more than one.

A proper noun is the name of a particular person, place, thing, or idea.

A common noun is the general name of a person, place, a thing, or an idea.

Proper noun are capitalized; common nouns are generally not capitalized

A collective noun names a group.
